We are just a few days away from 2015, the new year is going to bring a lot of new technology and gadgets that we will certainly love getting our hands on. Apart from launching a flagship smartphone in the first few months of 2015 it is being rumored that Samsung is also going to introduce a new tablet, a 10-inch Galaxy Tab 5 to be precise.
Samsung is rumored to be going with the 10-inch display size for its next tablet even when most major manufacturers are reportedly looking towards even higher display sizes. For example, Apple is rumored to be working on an iPad Pro with a 12-inch display, and so is Sony. Even Samsung was rumored to be in the same boat at one point in time.
The tip about this 10-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 comes from import tracking website Zauba which spotted the SM-T555 tablet being imported into India for “R&D Purpose & Evaluation.” In the import documents the tablet was valued at just over $350 though an accompanying note made it clear that the imported units will not be offered for retail sale.
The import tracker has previously spotted multiple unreleased Samsung devices which were gradually made public, so there’s a good chance that this tablet might be the real deal, but for now Samsung isn’t saying anything about it so we don’t know when it will be released and in which markets will it go on sale.
