warlords of draenorBlizzard’s World of Warcraft is one of the older MMORPGs around and not too long ago the game celebrated its 10th anniversary. That being said how does the game compare against more modern titles? Well for those who are wondering if World of Warcraft is still relevant, the recent numbers released by Raptr might surprise you.

According to Raptr’s recent numbers for the PC games that are played the most for the month of November, World of Warcraft came in second place with a 15.61% market share, putting them behind Riot Games’ League of Legends which sits at 19.99%. It does not come as a surprise that World of Warcraft is sitting so high up.

After all the latest expansion, Warlords of Draenor, was released in November. The expansion proved to be quite a hit amongst gamers and veterans, managing to draw many players back into the game. In fact the expansion helped to boost the game’s declining subscriber base and help propel it past the 10 million mark where previously it was hovering around 6-7 million active subscribers.

World of Warcraft had previously held an 8.53% market share in October, so safe to say the jump in market share is mighty impressive, thus allowing it to overtake games like Valve’s DOTA 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Minecraft, Diablo 3, and so on.
