htconem8-501It goes without saying that when Android 5.0 Lollipop was announced earlier this year, it did cause quite a fair amount of buzz and excitement among the Android fans of the world. After all, Android 5.0 Lollipop has been touted to be one of the largest operating system updates around for quite some time already, but it was rather unfortunate to hear that the latest update’s release has been plagued with its fair number of problems which were reported in double quick time. Needless to say, Google did respond to the complaints received in a rather efficient manner through a patch release, although the update has not arrived across all mobile devices just yet. We have, however, new screenshots that point to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop that was caught running on the HTC One M8.

The revealed screenshots point to a brand new operating system update that will also feature Sense 6.0 running on the HTC One M8. Do bear in mind that this happens to be an internal build, so it is not official just yet, other than being a test software right now. HTC does seem to have the preference of testing things out internally before rolling it out to the masses. On the surface, nothing much seemed to have changed, but then again, many changes does not necessarily translate to a good thing.

Notifications seem to have the biggest change, where users would be greeted with a “stock” looking update after pulling it down, while the lock screen notifications also do seem to work. It will take some time before Android 5.0.1 roll out officially, so stay tuned.
