google-samsung-galaxy-s4If you’re a Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition owner, you’re in luck because according to reports, it looks like the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is currently being pushed out to Galaxy S4 GPE devices as we speak. A little over a week ago, we reported that the Android 5.0 Lollipop updated for the Galaxy S4 GPE was being previewed, so we guess it didn’t take long for the update to become official.

However it should be noted that the update being pushed out is Android 5.0.0, as opposed to Android 5.0.1 which has made its way to the Motorola Moto G GPE. We’re not sure when Google/Samsung will push out the 5.0.1 update, but we guess Android 5.0 will have to do for now, which isn’t such a bad thing considering that all the major features and changes are in version 5.0 anyway.

That being said, there are some bugs that are addressed in version 5.0.1, but hopefully users won’t run into them, and if they do it won’t be too huge of an inconvenience. The update is sized at around 500MB so you will want to make sure you are connected to WiFi before downloading it. If you have yet to receive the notification, fret not as the rollout is probably staggered and you should receive your update soon.
