amazon-android-wearWhile it might be the season to be jolly, it is also the season for Android updates, and this would also mean that Android Wear would not want to miss out on the fun and action. Word on the street has it that there is an Android Lollipop update that could be making its way to smartwatches that run on the Android Wear platform – and this might very well happen as early as tomorrow, in fact. This particular update is said not to be too huge a change as it was where smartphones and tablets are concerned back in the days when KitKat made the jump over to Lollipop, but do brace yourselves for a slew of new features.

It seems that Phandroid’s take on the matter points to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop making its way to Android Wear so that it is easier to use. What about it? Well, there might be easier access to battery as well as storage information, including an option to restore dismissed cards, while quick screen brightness toggles (regular, theater mode and sunlight mode) have also been thrown into the mix, not to mention delivering options for the visually impaired, among others.

The latest rumor would also include a welcome addition if true – an update that might “drastically improve battery life” for select Android Wear watches. It looks like we will have to wait and see if all of this turns out to be true.
