Apple has just launched the iTunes Tumblr page in an effort to expand its social media push to the masses. This new Tumblr page has been specially dedicated to iTunes, which at the moment, carries with it pictures, videos and GIFs that will focus on the “Best of 2014.” It makes perfect sense to kick off the with flavor of the day, taking into consideration how those buzzwords are a surefire method to attract the attention of most people, since folks like to go through lists and read on whether it is a hit or a miss with their own personal preferences. It must also be said that Apple’s iTunes Tumblr page does share a fair bit of visual similarities with the company’s official website, although it will still not abandon the popular social media site’s style that concentrates mostly on images.
There are different major product categories that make up the iTunes’ Tumblr page – namely music, movies, TV and iBooks, where each one of them will come with a short promo video that will go through what Apple deemed to be the best content of the year so far. It is a no-brainer to see Beyonce being featured in the top spot on the iTunes Music Tumblr landing page, as she sashays her way as 2014’s best artist.
