BlackBerry-LogoFor those whose idea of living on the edge of things involve the installation of leaked copies of an upcoming, unofficial version of the operating system, then here is the perfect “candidate”, so to speak. I am referring to folks who happen to own a recently new BlackBerry device, at least one that will run on the BlackBerry operating system. Apparently, a new operating system leak has just appeared over in the CrackBerry Forums, where it has shown up with the version number OS 10.3.1.1949.

Before you get too excited about this particular operating system release, do bear in mind that it will be compatible with select devices only. The base fill would allow you to install it on the BlackBerry Z30 and the recently released (and acclaimed) BlackBerry Classic, while there are autoloaders which are a work in progress for the slew of other BlackBerry devices, although those who are rocking to the BlackBerry Passport might want to sit out on this at the moment.

Needless to say, the usual disclaimer applies here – install it at your own risk, and it would be best to make a backup of all your data beforehand. For those who have already given it a go, how has your experience been?
