Bungie has revealed some interesting facts and figures for a game that had more than 3 million people playing it each day back in October this year – Destiny. In fact, Bungie has invested a whole lot of time and money into Destiny, it is nice to see all of their hard work pay off in the long run. Bungie claims that across all of the platforms on where Destiny has been released, there is close to 13 million players who have played Destiny, resulting in a grand total of 22.9 million guardians. The amount of in-game time spent? It is close to 875 million hours on the whole, which could have been surpassed by the time you read this.
If one were to make a mathematical calculation out of it, we are talking about close to 100,000 years’ worth of time spent playing the game ever since it was released. Surely this could have resulted in other breakthroughs if all of that time were to be spent in other more productive endeavors? Still, it is hard to fault people for trying to let their hair down after a particularly difficult day at the office, or a stressful day at school, right?
