Evolution Studios title Driveclub was supposed to be a launch title for PlayStation 4 but the game was delayed even though the console came out on time back in November last year. On October 7th, Driveclub was finally launched for PlayStation 4. Immediately the game ran into troubles, its online features to be precise, and the developer is still trying its best to fix them. Unfortunately it delayed Driveclub PS Plus Edition release and still hasn’t confirmed when we can expect this version to land.

In an interview, Sony UK head Fergal Gara apologized on behalf of the company and Evolution Studios for all of the issues that gamers have had to face with Driveclub on PS4. Gara said that both companies are “embarrassed” over delays for the PlayStation Plus Edition and the overall launch experience for this game.

The problems have largely been with Driveclub’s online features, and since its a game which touts its multiplayer features, problems with online gameplay aren’t going to sit well with gamers and they certainly haven’t. Both Sony and Evolution Studios have been criticized time and again for the botched launch.

This is the reason why they’re not going ahead with PS Plus Edition launch. Gara says that while releasing it to “millions of PS Plus users is the next step,” they want to be confident that the services have the capacity to handle all those users. Until then, we simply have to wait.
