facebook photo enhanceA while back Google introduced the Auto Awesome feature to Google+ which basically helped to enhance photos uploaded onto the social network, and well it seems that more than a year later, Facebook has decided to do the same. At the moment this only applies to photos uploaded onto Facebook via the iPhone app.

For those using Android devices, this feature is expected to make its way onto your platform in the near future, but oddly enough it seems that there might not be any plans to bring it onto the desktop at the moment. Apparently the idea is to help users enhance photos that might have been taken poorly via their mobile device, as opposed to photos from your desktop which might have had more time to be edited and post-processed.

As you can see in the image above which shows off the before and after photos, the latter shows off a photo with more dynamic range, as opposed to the original photo which feels a bit flat. We guess how drastic the enhancement is will also depend on the original shot, but overall it is expected to be an improvement.

While Facebook has had photo enhancing features, it had to be done manually while this new feature is automatic, which is great for users who might not be so tech/photo savvy and just wants to upload and share nice photos with their friends and family. So, what do you guys make of the new feature? Yay or nay?
