Fans of the Grand Theft Auto franchise have been anxiously waiting on news about the Online Heists feature that we first heard about earlier this year. Today Rockstar broke its silence and revealed a timeframe in which we can expect GTA 5 Online Heists to go live. Rockstar has confirmed that we only have to wait until “early in 2015” for this to happen. Additional details were also revealed alongside a new trailer.

GTA 5 Online Heists is the four-player co-op mode for Grand Theft Auto Online through which players can prepare, plan and execute multi-tiered Heists in Blaine County and Los Santos. Players will have specific roles at different points of the Heist and to reach the finale they’ll have to accomplish multiple objectives, it goes without saying that they’re require good communication and coordination to be on top of their game.

There’s a lot that will keep gamers occupied, like new gameplay, new weapons, vehicles never seen before and much more. It has always been possible to pull off a multi-person heists in GTA 5 but previously that could only be done with in-game characters, the Online Heists mode will let gamers do this with actual people who’re playing the game at the same time as them.

Rockstar has not provided the exact release date for GTA 5 Online Heists but judging by early 2015, it could only be a couple of months before the launch.
