rokustreamingEarlier this morning, we brought you word that Roku owners who are on Comcast will be able to stream HBO GO as well as SHOWTIME in due time, where not a moment too soon, it seems that this bit of speculation has just been made official. Comcast has just been announced to be part of the participating television providers who will support HBO GO as well as SHOWTIME ANYTIME on a Roku device, where at long last, this much anticipated feature will arrive for Xfinity TV customers.

Activating HBO GO is a snap – just start up the channel, click “Activate your Device”, before visiting com/activate to select “Roku”. From there, click “Continue” and pick your provider from the list, where a pop-up will then prompt you to enter your provider’s ID and password. After signing in, you will enter your activation code on a landing page – doing so successfully will see you be greeted by the message, “Your device has been successfully linked to your hbogo.com account”, which means you are more than ready to go.

The same procedure can more or less be applied to the activation of SHOWTIME ANYTIME, where you start up the channel, click on “Activate SHOWTIME ANYTIME.” Select your provider next before visiting com/activate, where you log in with the right cable provider, provider’s ID, and password, before choosing “Roku Streaming Players” from the pull-down menu.
