ios 8About a week ago, Apple released iOS 8.1.2 to its iOS users, and now according to reports it looks like iOS 8.1.3 is already in the works. This is based on website hits which have recently recorded several devices running on iOS 8.1.3, and presumably these are devices used by Apple employees to test the update.

That being said if you were hoping for some major changes and revisions in iOS 8.1.3, chances are you might be disappointed. Given the version number, chances are that iOS 8.1.3 will most likely be a maintenance update that will focus on bug fixes, tweaks, and maybe some improvements in performance.

The major update should be iOS 8.2 which will include new features, not to mention Apple Watch support, although when exactly iOS 8.2 will be released remains to be seen. In any case some have speculated that iOS 8.1.3’s release could take place before the year is out, although others have suggested January as the year end is a holiday break for Apple workers which could potentially see the release delayed to accommodate the holidays.

We will be keeping our eyes peeled for more information regarding the update’s release, but in the meantime what kind of bugs/fixes would you like to see iOS 8.1.3 address?
