LG-G-Pad-83-review-001While LG is probably more well-known in terms of mobile devices for its smartphones, like the LG G3, the company has released Android tablets in the past like the LG G Pad 8.3 and if you’re wondering if the company’s tablet efforts stop there, apparently it doesn’t. According to a recent sighting at the USPTO (via Pocketnow), it looks like LG has recently filed a trademark for a potentially new tablet.

The trademark filing is for a product called the “G Pad X”. While we suppose it could really pointed at just about any product, given LG’s naming scheme in the past, there is a good chance that this is a trademark filing for a tablet. However it does break away from LG’s naming scheme a bit which usually hints at the tablet’s display size, although we suppose in all fairness the “X” could be referring to a 10-inch display.

Unfortunately apart from the possible name and size of the upcoming tablet, not much else is known about the device for now. However with CES 2015 and MWC 2015 around the corner and taking place in January and March respectively, we guess we won’t have to wait too long to hear more from LG, if and when they do plan on making the announcement, so be sure to check back with us in the near future for the details.
