If you love music then you should definitely check out Microsoft Music Deals application. It was launched back in October with 101 albums priced at $1.99 or less to celebrate the launch. Taylor Swift’s new album, 1989, launched on the app for just $0.99 for a limited time as a promotion. It goes to show that the company works hard to bring music lovers over to its app and its latest promotion is going to do just that. Microsoft is offering 100 albums absolutely free through the app.

There’s something for everyone in the 100 albums, so whether you’re a fan of U2, Eminem, Kanye West or Lady Gaga, there are albums from these popular artists available for download at no cost.

Some of the albums being offered include Dr Dre’s 2001, The Marshall Mathers LP2 by Eminem and Unapologetic by Rihanna. Lady Gaga’s The Fame is being offered for free as well.

Don’t think that just because its giving you free music that means Microsoft will tie you to a particular platform or device. All of the albums will be available as MP3s which means individual tracks or entire albums can be transfered to just about any device in the world capable of playing MP3s.

The free music is available to Music Deals and Xbox Music users in the U.S. only until December 15th.
