gc-controllerIt seems as though those who are not too pleased with what their current Wii U controllers offer will be able to check out just what these upcoming ones will be like – since they will arrive in the form of Nintendo character themes, and will look as though it is meant for use with the Nintendo GameCube instead. Right now as you read this, Mario, Yoshi, Princess Peach and Luigi controllers are already made available, and one will be able to place their respective pre-orders for the controllers that are based on Donkey Kong, Link, Samus and Wario.

These “Wired Fight Pad” controllers can be plugged into the Wii Remote, and will play nice with just about any game on both the Nintendo Wii and Wii U, since these two consoles will offer support for the Classic Controller or the Classic Controller Pro. Being different from Nintendo’s GameCube controllers, PDP’s version does not require a special adapter in order to have it function with the Nintendo Wii U. The fabulous trio of Link, Samus and Wario have been slated for a March 2015 introduction, but those who would prefer to hang around with the Donkey Kong-themed controller do not need to wait too long, since it comes with a December 31 release date.
