Sonos happens to be one of the widely used services for wireless music streaming, its speakers and hubs provide a great experience, while users are not just limited to music on their devices because Sonos allows them to stream from online services like Pandora, Spotify and more as well. So far there has been no official Sonos application for Windows Phone but the team behind it has revealed that this application is now “in testing.”

Windows Phone owners who have seen their friends and family use Sonos would certainly have felt the need for an official app but one hasn’t been offered yet. That’s the drawback of being on a platform that’s not iOS and Android, even if apps are destined for the platform, they’ll take a lot of time to get there.

A few months back rumors started circulating that Sonos was building a new application for Windows Phone. It even took feedback and feature requests from users should it ever decide to work on the app.

In an email to one of their users, Sonos said that its in the development of a fully compatible app right now which happens to be “in testing.” While no release date or timeframe is provided in the timeframe, the user is advised to use a third party application for WP phones called Phonos.
