oneplus maxxaudioAre you the type of user that is very particular about the audio quality coming from their mobile devices? Well if you are there are options out there that will help improve your phone’s audio quality, but the good news is that if you own the OnePlus One and you’d rather not spend money on purchasing a portable amplifier or getting a new phone, OnePlus has an announcement that should sit well with you.

Posting on its blog, the company has recently announced that OnePlus One users can look forward to an update in the near future that will introduce Waves Audio’s MaxxAudio technology their device. This is thanks to OnePlus’ partnership with the company, which at the same time saw Cyanogen Inc. working to introduce the technology into their next update.

For those who are wondering what the big deal is, well basically the MaxxAudio update will allow users to enjoy audio with deeper bass, clearer highs, and louder volume levels. It is also expected to provide a more immersive sound from the built-in speakers, headphones, and connected Bluetooth devices.

Now we haven’t tried it out for ourselves yet so we can’t really speak to its quality, but at the same time an update that improves audio quality that’s free and doesn’t require a change in hardware? Sure, why not? The update is scheduled for a release via OTA next month, so you’ll want to keep an eye out for it.
