It does look as though the probability is extremely high for China-based smartphone manufacturer Oppo to roll out a couple of new handsets that will make up part of its R smartphone range – after appearing on the TENAA website. Having said that, such an appearance is more often than not a shadow of things to come – which tends to be followed up by an official announcement not too long afterward. Both handsets have been called the R8200 and R8205 at time of publishing, where they are not only close in terms of naming convention, but also happen to be near identical in hardware specifications, apart from the R8205 offering support for CDMA networks – everything else are similar.
Both the R8200 and R8205 will feature 4G LTE support alongside a glossy back-plate in either blue or white with curved edges, which would be a throwback to the Oppo R1’s design. As for the rest of the hardware specifications, we are looking at a 5” capacitive TFT display with a resolution count of 1280 x 720 pixels, an octa-core Cortex A7 CPU that has been clocked at 1.5GHz, 16GB of internal memory, 2GB RAM, a body that tips the scales at 130 grams, while having a chassis with the dimensions of 140.6mm x 70.1mm x 6.85mm. There will be a 13MP shooter at the back with LED flash and a front-facing 5MP camera for selfie lovers.
