pokemon-omega-rubyIt has been taken for granted by now that anything with the name Pokémon emblazoned on it where a game for a Nintendo platform is concerned would more often than not yield plenty of sales, and the same trend continues today with Pokémon Omega Ruby as well as Pokémon Omega Alpha Sapphire having sold close to 1.5 million combined units – and achieving this particular feat in the first 10 days of sales in the U.S. alone, now how about that?

This has definitely helped lift the overall sales of Nintendo 3DS software in November this year to jump to more than 40% compared to November last year. Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire were launched on November 21, and has managed to shift close to 1.5 million combined physical and digital units just in the U.S. alone. Other titles that have done phenomenally well on the Nintendo 3DS include Super Smash Bros.

If you happen to own a Nintendo 3DS but have yet to pick up either title, one does wonder just why have you not done so already? After all, it is always good to ride on an existing cultural revolution – and in this case, being part of video game history so that you can regale tales of your gaming adventures in the Pokémon world to your descendants down the road, many years later.
