Now here is a robot that might just freak you out – it does not look like any kind of humanoid killer bots such as in the Terminator movies, and neither does it resemble the sentinels in the recent X-Men: Days of Future Past movie earlier this year. In fact, what you see above could very well be something from a cybernetic future, where it comes in the form factor of a creepy robot snake. Of course, this will not be toxic in any way, and neither does it catch mice – although it will be handy when deployed in disaster zones.
This unique snake-like robot can be controlled remotely in order to have it explore disaster areas that are deemed to be too dangerous for normal humans to venture into. This robot is the brainchild of OC Robotics. The swappable head is versatile enough for you to outfit it with a camera so that you can use it to explore the surrounding area, making it ideal when it comes to carrying out inspections in dangerous areas.
Apart from that, one will be able to program its movements to such a fine degree, that it would be a perfect fit in situations where debris is precariously positioned.
