solar-sunglassesIf you happen to be a huge fan of wearing sunglasses whenever you head out as the sun is doing its thing in full swing, then you would most probably have amassed quite a collection by now, although there would be moments where you would have forgotten a pair or two, leaving it on the table, or at the hotel room upon checking out. If only there was a way to keep track of where your sunglasses are. Australia-based Tzukuri happened to have worked on a new pair of solar sunglasses, where they will also feature the ability to remind you that you have left your pair behind somewhere.

Harnessing the power of the sun to provide adequate juice, these battery-efficient sunglasses will feature an integrated chip and a solar cell to get going. The chip itself will communicate with your connected iPhone using iBeacon technology from Apple, alongside Bluetooth Low Energy just in case you happen to move away from the pair of sunglasses. It will consume extremely little power, and the app itself is said to not drain the battery on your smartphone.

The app will send you an alert should you happen to be more than 15 feet away from the solar sunglasses, and will continue sending alerts up to 82 feet. Sounds like the perfect idea, especially for folks like me who tend to have a forgetful mind.
