soloshot2Fancy shooting yourself? And by that, I certainly do not mean committing suicide – far from it. What I am referring to would be the Soloshot 2, which is the successor to the Soloshot that we talked about a couple of years ago. The Soloshot 2 has received a rather noticeable facelift to keep up with the times, not to mention being on the receiving end of some rather distinct features that makes it all the more appealing to those who would want to capture a video of themselves without anyone else in the vicinity to aid them.

For starters, the Soloshot 2 is extremely easy to use for one simple reason – it works in the exact same manner as that of its predecessor. It will feature a base that allows you to lock with your tripods, while there is a wearable tag that functions as the transmitter. All videos which are captured will be done through the tracking of the motion of these tags, where you would tie these tags onto your wrists. With the Soloshot 2, there is an improved tag that would assist you in controlling your video capture.

How so? Well, videos can now be captured through simple clicks on the tag buttons, and this will include both starting or stopping of the capture, as well as highlighting points in the video for future sessions. There is also a new tilt feature that has been thrown into the mix so that you can capture your motion better. The base itself has an 8 hour battery life on a full charge, and the Soloshot 2 will feature an asking price of $399 a pop.
