anti-uber-franceFor those who hate having apps preinstalled on their phones when bought from carriers, you might not be pleased to learn that Sprint has recently announced that in the future, the company will be preinstalling Uber’s app on the home screens of most of their new Android devices. “We believe having access to safe, reliable and affordable transportation via your mobile phone is important. That’s why we are now offering Uber preloaded on the home screen of most of our new Android devices.”

It is unclear if there will be any specific devices targeted or if all of the carrier’s future Android devices will have it preinstalled. That being said, this isn’t the first time that Uber has partnered with a carrier. Earlier this year Uber and AT&T partnered up which saw the company’s app preinstalled on some of AT&T’s devices as well.

For those who use Uber heavily and rely on their services, we guess this will save you an extra step of having to download it manually from the Google Play Store. For those who aren’t a fan of bloatware, the good news is that the app can be easily uninstall the app, much like you would with regular apps.

For those who are curious about Uber and want to see what all the fuss is about, Sprint is offering its customers a $20 ride credit for those who create a new account. So, what do you guys think? Pleased at the thought of Uber being preinstalled in your future Sprint handsets?
