nexus-6-review-heroAs some of you might have heard by now, Sprint is set to roll out the Android 5.0.1 update to the Google Nexus 5 handset and if you’re not on Sprint and wondering when you might be able to get it, the answer could be soon. Following in the footsteps of Sprint’s announcement, T-Mobile has similarly announced that the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 will be getting the Android 5.0.1 update later today as well.

The build number for the update is LRX22C so users can keep an eye out for that to ensure that is the update that they have received. If you haven’t received the notification yet that it’s time to update, fret not as we expect that it is most likely staggered and that you should receive the update in due time.

The update doesn’t really add much in terms of features or major changes – all of that was done and handled with in Android 5.0 Lollipop. However the update should address some bugs, along with some tweaks and improvements that should make the software experience even better, but either way software updates are always welcome.

That being said have any of our readers received their Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update yet? Let us know in the comments below on how it is treating you and if it might have solved any bugs you might have had previously!
