Xbox FitnessBack in 2013, Microsoft announced Xbox Fitness. This was a feature that was included in the Xbox One console and was available for free for Xbox Live Gold members. The original announcement back in September was that the service would remain free for Xbox Live Gold members until the end of December 2014.

As per the FAQ, “An Xbox Fitness Pass gives you unlimited access to the world’s best workouts for free with your Xbox Live Gold membership through December 2014, only on Xbox One.” Well the good news is that if you’ve enjoyed using the program and would like to continue using it for free, you’re in luck.

Microsoft has recently confirmed to the folks at Windows Central that Xbox Fitness is expected to remain free even until 2015. It is unclear if this free access will continue indefinitely or if it will come to an end at a specific date, but in Microsoft’s statement to Windows Central, no expiration dates were mentioned.

“While some of the content available will change in January, Xbox Fitness will continue to offer free and unlimited access to a wide fitness video catalog with your Xbox Live Gold membership, as well as the option to purchase additional full programs with Gold and Silver memberships.” So if you have yet to subscribe to Xbox Live Gold, perhaps now might be a good time to consider it, especially if the Xbox Fitness service is something you’re really interested in.
