We’re almost at the end of this year. This is a time when many people look back and remember the things that happened throughout these 12 months, good or bad, and since many of those moments make their way to Facebook nowadays the social network has launched the “Year In Review” app again to help you recap your entire year. The app is now live and you may already have started to see 2014 recaps from your friends in the News Feed.

Signing into Facebook will bring up a notice about your Year In Review. It can be customized through the app and then shared with friends and family. In case you don’t see the notice when you sign in just head on over to http://www.facebook.com/yearinreview.

This app essentially puts together some of the biggest moments that you shared on Facebook over 2014. How it does know what those biggest moments are? There’s a fancy algorithm doing its bit on the backend and it does a good enough job, notwithstanding the fact that its doing the exact same thing for over one billion of Facebook’s users around the globe.

It is obviously not compulsory for you to do this. You can choose not to have Facebook automatically create a recap of your entire year and then post it for all to see, to each his own.
