ipad_pro_shell_moldWe have been hearing many rumors regarding Apple’s iPad Pro and recently a sketch allegedly obtained from Foxconn gave us a hint as to what we might be able to expect. Well now thanks to newly leaked images that surfaced on Weibo, it is possible that the image to the right that you are looking at could be that of the mould for the body of the tablet.

Of course given that it’s just a rectangle mould, it could be a mould that could be used for just about anything. It could be a mold for a tablet belonging to another company, or it could even be a mould for a completely unrelated device, like a tablet, although the original poster is claiming that the muold is used for the rumored iPad Pro.

In any case the mold does look pretty big, at least from the photos, which seems to be in line with the rumors that the iPad Pro will come sporting a 12-inch display. The size of tablet should allow Apple to compete against the likes of Microsoft with their Surface Pro 3 which the company is claiming is a MacBook killer, but perhaps the iPad Pro could end up giving Microsoft a run for their money instead.

Production of the iPad Pro, last we heard, had been pushed to Q2 2015 due to alleged production issues, meaning that it might be a bit early for us to start seeing components surface. However if the photo is the real deal, it certainly looks like Apple’s manufacturers are at the very least getting ready to kick things off.
