ipadprosketch-800x385In the past making smaller tablets, like those of the 7-8-inch variety were all the rage, but these days it seems that making larger tablets has become the in thing. We’ve seen larger tablets come from the likes of Samsung, Microsoft with their Surface Pro 3, and we have also been hearing rumors that Apple could be getting ready to launch an iPad Pro of their own.

That being said, the folks at French website Nowhereelse.fr (via MacRumors) have recently gotten their hands on what appears to be a schematic for the upcoming iPad Pro. Apparently this schematic was leaked from Foxconn, Apple’s primary assembler of their products, so perhaps there could be some truth to these claims.

Unfortunately the image above doesn’t exactly show us how big the tablet is, but based on its design it certainly looks like a new product. For starters it looks like the volume rockers have been moved, and the speaker grill has also shifted position where it now appears to be placed next to the sleep/wake button which is positioned above what looks like a slot for the camera.

The employee who leaked the image claims that the tablet will measure between 6.9mm to 7.5mm in thickness and will actually come with four integrated speakers, with two on the top and two at the bottom, but apart from that not much else is known about the device save for its rumored 12-inch display and an A8X processor.

In any case the rumors are claiming that we might be able to look forward to the iPad Pro later this year, but until we hear from Apple officially, do take it with a grain of salt for now.
