apple_logo2Back in 2014, Apple released iOS 8 and the year before, iOS 7. Assuming Apple keeps to schedule and their tradition of releasing major OS updates every year, there is a good chance that come WWDC 2015, we can look forward to Apple announcing their next major iOS build in the form of iOS 9.

Well as it turns out Apple is already hard at work at developing iOS 9. This is according to reports in which Google Analytics has revealed the presence of iOS 9 devices. We can only assume that these are devices within Apple’s campuses where the operating system is being tested in, however apart from its existence, not much else is known about iOS 9.

We can of course look forward to improvements and new features, and we also have to wonder if Apple will decide to open up the NFC chip inside the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. After all with iOS 8, Apple finally opened up Touch ID to developers where third-party applications could use Touch ID in their apps, and we have seen a few password managers take advantage of that.

In any case we have also heard rumors that Apple could be releasing an iOS 8 update sometime this week. It is expected to be a minor one that will bump devices to iOS 8.1.3, but in the meantime what kind of new features are you looking forward to and hoping that Apple will bring to iOS 9?
