During CES 2015, Nest announced that they had partnered up with 15 new companies that would see Nest product integration into some of these companies’ products. Well if you’re looking to get the most out of your Nest products and try to create that perfect connected home, you might be interested to learn that the Automatic Smart Driving Assistant will now work with your Nest smart thermostat.

For those who are unfamiliar, the Automatic Smart Driving Assistant is basically a gadget that connects to your car’s diagnostic port. From there the Link will then be able to transmit your driving data over to an accompanying app, after which you the driver will be able to make some informed decisions and changes to your driving habits.

By integrating with Nest, you will now be able to automate more features. For example you could set it so that when the Link detects that you are approaching your home, you could then wake up the Nest thermostat to begin heating up or cooling your house down, that way you can get home to a nice and comfortable temperature.

You could even set it up in such a way so that when you do arrive home, your Nest thermostat will be reverted back to its default state, that way it won’t be too hot/cold upon your arrival. users could also set all kinds of different rules, such as only enabling it during the weekday when you are going to work, certain times, and so on. Pretty cool, huh?
