Mobile banking is about to get a bit hard for Windows Phone users who do business with Chase Bank. The bank has announced that it is no longer going to support Windows Phone due to lack of users. This means that the Chase Bank mobile application is going to be pulled from the Windows Phone Store real soon, so users will either have to take their business elsewhere, or live without a mobile banking app that gives access to their Chase account.

Obviously this isn’t something that Windows Phone users will be particularly happy about. This makes no difference to WP users who’re not with Chase, but the bank’s customers will certainly feel the absence of an official app.

Chase Bank has said that the app will be pulled from the Windows Phone Store on January 26th. It is going to drop support for Microsoft’s platform entirely in March.

The bank has said that its doing this due to a lack of users which doesn’t make it feasible to continue to devote time and resources to the Windows Phone app. Instead its going to use these resources for other platforms, iOS and Android clearly, the two platforms that dominate the mobile market.

This isn’t the first app for Windows Phone that has been pulled due to lack of users. Its one of the problems that Microsoft faces when trying to compete against the likes of iOS and Android, but hey, you win some, you lose some.
