If you’re in the market for a new mirrorless camera, it seems that Fujifilm has recently announced a new one in the form of the Fujifilm X-A2. This is the latest mirrorless camera from the company and for those who enjoy taking selfies, the camera will also feature an LCD display and can be flipped up so that you can see yourself in it.
Selfies aside, what kind of specs are we looking at in the Fujifilm X-A2? Well the camera will feature a 16MP APS-C sensor. This is a Bayer-filter sensor which is different from Fujifilm’s own X-Trans array. The camera will also support Fujifilm’s X-mount lens. The LCD is of the 3-inch variety but there is no touch function.
It will come with a mode dial and a command dial on the top that allows users to adjust manual exposure controls and shooting modes. It also has an ISO that goes up to 25,600 although we reckon that it might get pretty noisy at those levels. According to Fujifilm, they are also boasting that the camera will have an autofocus time of 0.3 seconds, although we can’t verify this as we will have to test it ourselves.
For videographers, the X-A2 will be able to record Full HD 1080p videos at 30fps. We would have preferred 60fps but 30fps should be able to get you by. There will be built-in WiFi that allows users to control it via an app that has yet to be released. For those interested in the camera, expect to pay $550 for the bundle that will come with a 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens.
