hyperdrive-macbook[CES 2015] I would like to think that despite all of the advances that we have made in terms of storage space in the digital world, one can never have enough – despite it being said once that “640k should be enough for everybody”, although the context back then was different. Having said that, Hyper has just announced their HyperDrive for MacBook, which is one of the easiest and most elegant methods to help your MacBook expand its storage.

The HyperDrive for MacBook is essentially a plug and play microSD memory card adapter that will sit flushed within the MacBook’s SD memory card slot, and will be be accompanied by a matching aluminum cap to make sure that the entire aesthetics of this particular accessory would not jeopardize whatever Apple loving image that some folks would like to portray. Not only that, it sports a patented design that would pave the way for easy removal with but your fingertip – which means there is no need for a pesky safety pin, paperclip or a pair of scissors.

In other words, the HyperDrive for MacBook comes across as a simple, seamless, unobstructive, upgradeable storage solution for your MacBook. It will play nice with any microSD, microSDHC, microSDXC (including 128GB) memory card, and offers support for high speed Class 10/UHS-1/U1/U3 cards. There are various versions which will target the MacBook Air 13”, MacBook Pro 13” and MacBook Pro 15”, and it will cost $29.95 a pop.
