UE_MEGABOOM_Electric_BlueIf you’re in the market for a portable Bluetooth speaker, there are plenty of options to choose from. Heck, it was just yesterday at CES 2015 that Braven announced the Braven 805, but if you’re looking for alternatives, you might be interested to learn that Logitech has recently announced the UE MEGABOOM Bluetooth speaker.

Unlike most speakers that tend to project the music forward, Logitech’s UE MEGABOOM will be able to project the music in a 360-degree manner. This means that you could place the speaker in the middle of a group of friends and all them can enjoy the music at the same time without the sound quality/levels diminishing.

The UE MEGABOOM has also been designed to be taken on the road and has been IPX7 certified, meaning that it should be able to withstand water, so taking it to the pool or to the beach should not be an issue. It will also sport a stain-resistant acoustic skin for those who are worried about it looking dirty or battered, and will come with a 20-hour rechargeable battery.

Logitech has revealed that the UE MEGABOOM speaker will be made available in the US and several countries in Europe and Asia later this month where it will be priced at $299.99. So, any takers?
