microsoft__logoiOS users enjoyed a rather massive upgrade when Apple released iOS 7, and Android users had that experience too with Google’s release of Android 5.0 Lollipop, which is why we can only imagine that many Windows Phone users are excited at the upcoming Windows 10 which will be the next major revision to the Windows Phone platform.

We had previously heard that the public preview could be coming soon, but a new report from NokiaPowerUser has revealed that Microsoft could be thinking about speeding things up even more. According to their source, “So, Microsoft is now targeting to deliver Windows 10 for Mobile to manufacturers during late Q2 and that’s why this hurry to push the Build to Insiders after 21st event.”

Their source also adds that there is a possibility that we could see some early devices running on Windows 10 at MWC 2015 which is kicking off in March. “Some first devices running Windows Mobile 10 (or whatever it is finally called) may appear during MWC and we are growing in confidence about a high-end Lumia among the others.”

We had also heard a few days ago that Microsoft is rumored to be considering skipping the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 in favor of Windows 10, so if the fast-tracking rumor is to be believed, it certainly does make sense. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more info.
