move n see[CES 2015] One of the reasons why action photographers love fast lenses is that it allows them to snap photos quickly and to capture that perfect image where a boxer’s fist connects to the face of his/her opponent, or where the basketball is dunked, or when a skateboarder flips their skateboard in mid-air.

Unfortunately human beings can be a bit slow in their reaction times, so what better way to have your sports photos taken other than by a robot? Well over at CES, Move ‘N See has recently debuted the Pixio. This is a robot capable of tracking your movements and recording footage of you at the same time.

Basically how this works is that the athlete in question will strap a contraption to their arm and the robot will be able to follow them based on that. This allows for autonomous recording which might come in handy if you have no one else to film you performing your action shots. This will also allow the Pixio to work both indoors and outdoors.

Previously the company had debuted something similar but it was limited to outdoors due to the previous model relying on GPS to track its subject. Move ‘N See is expected to put the Pixio up for sale in the coming weeks where it will be priced at around $749.
