next-hitman-game

In January 2014 IO-Interactive confirmed that it is developing a new AAA Hitman title for PC and gaming consoles. We expected to hear more about this title at E3 2014 but the developer confirmed before this conference that it won’t be talking about Hitman there. In a tweet posted earlier today IO-Interactive has said that it plans to reveal more information about this new Hitman game in 2015.

In May last year IO-Interactive posted a piece of concept art for this new Hitman game which was meant to give us an idea of how expansive and exotic the locations are going to be. The only details known to the public right now are that players will get to experience a globetrotting Agent 47 at the prime of his career. He will hunt his prey in different locations around the world while being aided by the ICA and his long-time handler Diana Burnwood.

Hopefully IO-Interactive is going to fulfil its promise of telling us more about the title this year. In 2014 fans of the franchise didn’t get the kind of information they wanted to find out, but now the developer says there’s more info coming in 2015, “and we can’t wait to share it.”

No word as yet when the new Hitman game, being developed for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC will be released. IO-Interactive hasn’t confirmed as yet if it will make an appearance at the E5 2015 conference.
