HTC-One-M9-Hima-front-side-leak-640x634Earlier today thanks to a leaked photo, we managed to catch a glimpse of the upcoming HTC One M9. The photo was rather blurry but it gave us an idea of what to expect. However the folks at Phandroid have managed to get their hands on much clearer photos of the handset, giving us a cleaner look at the device.

The images shared by Phandroid appear to be similar to the previously leaked image, except for one glaring omission which is the alleged hardware button found in the earlier photo. It was odd that HTC would suddenly include a physical home button which made us think that something was off, and the photos by Phandroid tell a different story.

HTC-One-M9-Hima-front-640x419If anything Phandroid’s photos show a handset that looks more like the HTC One M8, except that the power button has been moved from the top position to the right position, kind of like what Apple did with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Given the large-ish display, having the power button at the side of the phone makes it more accessible that the top where users with shorter fingers might have trouble reaching.

HTC-One-M9-Hima-back-640x857The photos also show off the back of the phone where it seems that HTC has done away with the Duo camera setup. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but HTC has teased an event for the 1st of March where the handset would presumably be launched, so do check back with us then for the details!
