Are you a fan of Marvel’s The Avengers? Are you a little bored by the Samsung S Pen and its UI? Well the good news is that if you answered yes to either of these questions (or maybe both), you might be pleased to learn that Samsung is thinking of sprucing things up a bit with what they are calling Penvatars.
If you have the Galaxy Note or have used a Galaxy Note, you might recall that when you bring the S Pen close to the display, a small dot shows up on your screen. With Penvatars, Samsung will be changing that boring little dot into something more fun in the form of characters from The Avengers.
Soon users will be able to choose from the likes of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and other heroes that are part of the Marvel superhero universe. We’re not sure if these will be limited to just Marvel characters or if Samsung will be releasing other Penvatars in the future, but with the new Avengers movie launching in the next few months, this tie-in doesn’t seem all too surprising.
Unfortunately this feature is only limited to the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge. No word on when these Penvatars will be released, but they do look pretty cute and fun and we will be keeping an eye out for them.
