runescape-tipThere is nothing quite like being a blessing to people around us – and Joey DeGrandis of Ypsilanti, Mich., knows this. Joey himself is a dedicated player of the MMO known as Runescape, and “surviving” on pizza something that he is familiar with – since it is fast to eat, delicious, and of course, easy to clean up after. Joey decided to do something about his constant pizza orders – after streaming his Runescape sessions to achieve a large number of followers, he decided to work on a plan to drop more than just a decent tip to the pizza delivery person. In fact, after an 18-hour marathon, he managed to obtain donations totaling $1,230, which was then handed over to Charlie McCormick, who recently had to undergo the pain of losing his mother in September last year.

This is approximately a 5,500% gratuity for the delivery of a large three-topping pizza. This was made possible due to the entire effort of kind hearted gamers, not to mention having Joey kickstart the entire proceedings.

The tip was delivered just in time for the Christmas season, and Joey shared, “I’ve been streaming for a few months and it’s something I’ve been enjoying. I always wanted to do something like that, I just never had the means to. Once I started streaming to a decent amount of viewers, I finally had the means to do it.”
