There is a lot customers can do to personalize their mobile devices after purchasing one. A bevy of cases, holders and covers are available in the market, while the devices can also be personalized with stickers, badges, straps and more. On the software end some manufacturers allow users to personalize the look and feel of the software through various themes. Samsung’s competitors like Sony lets its customers do this and apparently the Korean juggernaut will give Galaxy S6 owners the same liberty as well.

Samsung isn’t entirely new to this concept. The Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 smartphones it released last year were the first Android smartphones from Samsung to feature support for themes. Sammobile reports that Samsung is now making themes a priority and that the Galaxy S6 is going to be the first flagship from this company to prominently feature customization options like themes.

The Galaxy S6 is going to have a Theme Store from where users will be able to download new themes. They will also be allowed to change system sounds, fonts and set different themes for different events.

It is not clear so far whether only Samsung will provide content in the Theme Store or if it plans on opening up the store to third party developers as well who would be able to sell, or give away for free, their themes to millions of users across the globe.

Samsung hasn’t commented on this rumor but the scribe says its “pretty confident” about the accuracy of this information provided by an unnamed source.
