SE790C_005_R-Perspective(Main)_Black1Samsung seems to have developed an affection for curved displays. The company has already launched curved TVs, similar smartphones and a smartwatch, and just recently it showed off a Windows All-in-One computer with a curved display. So its no surprise to see the company unveil SE790C at the International Consumer Electronics Show 2015, underway since yesterday in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a curved monitor that Samsung has just announced, clearly it sees the future in curved displays, but it remains to be seen whether the customers bite or not.

The Samsung SE790C has a 34-inch display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and WQHD+ 3,440×1,440 pixel resolution. This monitor has a viewing angle of 178/178 degrees, a response time of 4 ms with 300cd/m2 brightness from a VA panel.

According to the specifications provided by Samsung the screen curvature of the SE790C is 3000R, refresh rate is 60Hz with 16.7M color support.

Connectivity options include two HDMI ports and one DisplayPort. There are five USB 3.0 ports and an audio out. Two 7W multimedia speakers are also present, so users will never really be starved for connectivity. Built-in features include Game Mode, MagicBright, Eco Saving, PIP 2.0 and more.
