shuttle-aio-touchAny All-in-One PC is worth checking out, especially if you happen to live in an apartment that is tiny enough as it is, and would required a whole lot more space to cater for your growing family. Apart from that, these AiO machines tend to be small and can be discreetly placed around in your living room, making it look as part of the decoration in a seamless manner. Having said that, one of the experts at such machines, Shuttle, has introduced its latest All-in-One PC Barebone X50V4 that boasts of passive cooling, where it delivers whisper-quiet operation with lower maintenance requirements, running on a frugal Intel Celeron processor to boot.

It is now in its fourth generation ever since its original launched in 2009, and the All-in-One PC Barebone X50V4 will come in the acclaimed 15.6” format, delivering maximum expandability and is rather quiet. An Intel Celeron 2957U dual-core 1.4GHz processor will run proceedings from within, and there is enough space for a 2.5″ hard drive or SSD and an mSATA module, in addition to carrying up to 8GB of DDR3L SO-DIMM memory, a slew of connectors on the underside such as a pair of USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, a Gigabit Ethernet, VGA, HDMI as well as headphone and microphone jacks.

In front, you will find a 2MP webcam, integrated stereo speakers, WLAN, a memory card reader and a stand, which doubles up as a carrying handle as and when required. Best of all is the IP54-compliant front panel of the touchscreen that delivers a certain degree of protection from
dust and water splashes, making the X50V4 all the more resistant to external factors.

Arriving in black or white colors, the recommended retail price stands at 292 Euros.
