sony-bt-hp-1If you’re working out at the gym or if you’re out for a run, you might want to bring your headphones with you to help motivate you to push harder, run faster, and so on. However sometimes those pesky headphones cables can get in the way and if you wanted something sporty and wireless, Sony might have something for you in the form of the Sony MDR-AS600BT.

These are basically wireless headphones that have been designed for active users in mind. They will feature Bluetooth and NFC connectivity, so depending on your preference and smartphone’s capabilities, you have at least two options of connecting your headphones to your mobile device.

According to Sony, the headphones are splash proof and have been designed to be used in all sorts of weather conditions and are also IPX4 certified. In terms of battery life, users can look forward to about 8.5 hours of non-stop use before it requires a recharge, so safe to say that they should be able to last you a few gym sessions.

The ear buds come with Arc Supporters that are available in three different sizes, so you should be able to find the perfect or comfortable fit. There is also a built-in microphone to allow users to take calls. Pricing has yet to be announced, but the headphones appear to have launched in Asia and there is no word on whether it will be making its way stateside.
