toshiba-canvio-connect-2Toshiba has announced new portable hard drives at CES 2015. These products bring expanded capacity of up to 3TBs in a variety of colors with features like remote access and scheduled backups. Users not only get more storage, therefore a bigger bang for their buck, but the ability to access the portable hard drive remotely which is a good incentive on its own to pick up one of the Canvio Connect II portable hard drives from Toshiba.

These new portable hard drives from Toshiba have a modern design and come in a variety of colors like blue, red, white, black and even gold with a high gloss finish, so not only are these products high on functionality, they’re not too bad to look at either.

The company is offering different models with varying capacity. 500GB is the least one can get on a Canvio Connect II portable hard drive, available storage options include 1TB, 2TB and an all new 3TB model.

Scheduled backup feature lets users backup local files and folders as well as perform a full system backup and recovery. It is also possible to perform a cloud backup. The PogoPlug remote access feature can be used to stream content to mobile devices, access 10GB cloud storage and view and share files over the internet.

Toshiba Canvio Connect II portable hard drives are compatible with both PC and Mac, there is no reformatting required for the latter. So far Toshiba has not provided pricing and availability information.
