flashair iiiMost cameras these days come with built-in WiFi. This allows photographers to transfer photos wirelessly from their camera to their phone, tablet, laptop, and control it remotely as well. However there are some cameras out there without built-in WiFi, which means that photographers will need a cable to transfer photos from the camera onto a computer.

Well if you’re looking to give your non-WiFi camera some wireless connectivity, you might be interested to learn that Toshiba has recently announced the FlashAir III. This is a full sized SD memory card that comes with wireless connectivity built into the card itself. What this means is that users will be able to transfer photos and videos taken by the camera onto their mobile devices wirelessly, even if their camera lacks that particular feature.

According to Toshiba’s Maciek Brzeski, VP of branded storage, “We understand how important it is for consumers to share their photo and video memories with family and friends. We have eliminated the cumbersome task of uploading pictures via a USB cord so users can effortlessly share and manage their files, leaving more time for what’s important.”

Toshiba’s FlashAir III will be going on sale this March where it will be available in 16GB and 32GB options priced at $79.99 and $99.99 respectively.
