twitter-dmTwitter has been accused by various parties of moving at a glacial pace when it comes to introducing groundbreaking changes and improvements to their products, and it seems that Twitter intends to prove all the naysayers wrong with the introduction of the group direct messaging capability alongside native video sharing and editing.

It is a well know omission to many a Twitter user by now that there has been no option to be able to privately message a group of users, but thanks to the latest inclusion, you can do just that – to launch a conversation with multiple followers simultaneously, without having some of those followers to follow one another in the first place. Perhaps this has something to do with the likes of Kakao, WhatsApp and Line emerging strongly in various worldwide markets.

Apart from that, Twitter users will also gain the ability to capture, share and edit videos up to 30-seconds in length as long as they make use of the camera button directly within the app, similar to what one would do in order to create and share photos. Definitely a whole lot better with five times the length of Twitter’s Vine service, don’t you think so? How do you think these changes will work in Twitter’s stead in the long run?
