A couple of months back it was first rumored that Samsung is going to release two different models of the Galaxy S6. Many reports have suggested that the company is counting on this device to spur growth in the high-end segment, which is probably why it is believed to be working on the Galaxy S6 with a completely new vision. A report published today reiterates that Samsung is going to launch two models of the Galaxy S6.

Business Insider cites “sources familiar with the company’s plans” and says that Samsung is going to show off two models of its upcoming flagship at the Mobile World Congress in March.

The first model is reportedly going to be crafted from metal which is a step away from tradition for Samsung as it has largely stuck with plastic for its flagships. The other model is said to have a curved display much like that of the Galaxy Note Edge.

The scribe isn’t sure right now if the metal touting Galaxy S6 will have a unibody design like the iPhone or if it will be garnished with metal accents. An alleged Galaxy S6 frame that leaked recently hinted at the possibility of a unibody design.

It has long been rumored that a Galaxy Note Edge-like variant of Galaxy S6 is on the cards. If all of the reports and rumors that have come in up till now are believed then this really is happening. Obviously Samsung can choose to shelve this model at the last minute but to find that out we have to wait until MWC.

Samsung is also rumored to show off a new smartwatch at MWC 2015 which is said to have a round design similar to that of Moto 360.
