xon-snow1-1[CES 2015] It is winter for those living in the northern hemisphere, and this means snow for many people – although snow is not something that everyone would like to enjoy. Having said that, if you have a penchant for snowboarding, then you might be interested in checking out the XON Snow-1, which is a way to help you enhance your snowboarding experience. How does it work? It will be able to visualize your load balance of each individual foot, thanks to a quartet of load sensors that are located at the bottom of each foot.

Apart from that, you can also check out your bending level of the snowboard via a pair of flex sensors. It will be a snap to pick up Ollie and Nollie stunts since each bend sensor will be placed on the head and tail of the snowboard.

Apart from that, when you hook up the XON Snow-1 to a smartphone via Bluetooth 4.0, you will be able to enjoy real time tracking data that is visualized on the app as you can see in the video above. From there, you will be able to pick up tips that will hopefully help you have a more enjoyable ride as your skills increase dramatically – sort of like a self-teaching snowboard.

There is also a video overlay function which will keep track of your snowboarding data, ranging from flex, load balance, GPS and acceleration of your movement. Once the ride is complete, you can check out your snowboarding style on the spot for instant feedback as you make your way back on the ski lift. A quartet of LED strobes located on the toe and heel segments would add a sense of coolness to the XON Snow-1 for sure! Of course, the XON Snow-1 will be waterproof just in case you were wondering.
